On September 21st, the IT Governance Team at Universiteti Europian i Tiranës (UET) held a preparation meeting before the Best Practices Visit to Almería. They discussed and analysed the IT status of IT Indicators at UET from three different points of view: description, management and IT governance. The aim of the meeting is to initialize the development of the governance framework implantation based on ISO/IEC 38500 standard.

Among the attendees were Ketrina Mijo, as coordinator of the project in UET, Tonin Gjuraj, Vice Rector of UET, and Agim Kasaj. They were mainly developing their IT governance framework collecting the data they obtained during their work in summer following the gideliness provided by the ITG4AU consortium.

This project is aimed to gather a set of researchers from four universities with a wide experience in developing and deploying ITG framework models from 3 different countries (Spain, Germany and Norway) to develop, adapt and test a new ITG framework to be implemented in HEIs in Albania. Expected results of this project include a better governance model for IT in Albanian HEIs as well as an overall modernization of the governance processes for HEIs and a contribution of the cooperation between EU and Albania.
