A Erasmus+ Project belonging to Capacity Building, in the field of Higher Education
University of Balearic Islands
Carlos Juiz and Beatriz Gómez, on behalf of the University of Balearic Islands as principal coordinator of the Erasmus+ "Information Technology Governance for Albanian Universities" (ITG4TU) project, organized the Kick-Off Meeting at UIB on February 5th to 9th. The presentation of the partners was held, the work plan of the project was indicated and the various tasks, set out in a schedule of actions, that each one of them will perform, were scheduled.
IT Governance for Albanian Universities
This project is aimed to gather a set of researchers from four universities with a wide experience in developing and deploying ITG (including ITG4U and dFogIT) framework models from 3 different countries (Spain, Germany and Norway) to develop, adapt and test a new ITG framework to be implemented in HEIs in Albania. Expected results of this project include a better governance model for IT in Albanian HEIs as well as an overall modernization of the governance processes for HEIs and a contribution of the cooperation between EU and Albania.
Programme countries universities partners are:
- University of Balearic Islands, with Carlos Juiz as principal investigator and coordinator of the project (Spain).
- Universidad de Almería, whose representative is Antonio Fernández (Spain).
- SRH Hochschule Berlin, whose representative is Vladimir Stantchev (Germany).
- Østfold University College, whose representative is Ricardo Colomo-Palacios (Norway).
Albanian universities partners are:
- Polytechnic University of Tirana, whose representative is Elinda Kajo Mece.
- Aleksander Moisiu University of Durrës, whose representative is Gerti Kallbaqi.
- European University of Tirana, whose representative is Ketrina Cabiri.
- University of Tirana, whose representative is Kozeta Sevrani.
Capacity-building projects in the field of higher education are transnational cooperation projects, based on multilateral partnerships, primarily between higher education institutions from Programme and eligible Partner Countries outside the European Union.
