Carlos Juiz presents the ITG4AU project at the 9th ISTI International Conference

The ninth edition of the International Conference on Information Systems and Technology Innovations - Smart economy and digital transformation took place on May 17th to 18th, organized by the Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana, Department of "Statistics and Applied Informatics". Among its participants were the Albanian ITG4AU partners, a European Erasmus+ Capacity Building project in the field of Higher Education.

Carlos Juiz, as a Coordinator of the project and representative of the University of Balearic Islands (UIB), presented the project as well as its activities among the different stakeholder groups, academics and both public and private enterprise practitioners. The purpose of dissemination of this project is to publicize the activities carried out in it, in order to raise awareness about the importance of IT governance in any type of organization.

The aim of ITG4AU (IT Governance for Albanian Universities) project is to bring together a group of researchers from four European universities with extensive experience in developing and deploying IT governance models from three different countries (Spain, Germany and Norway) to develop, adapt and test a new IT governance to be implemented in several universities in Albanian, including the University of Tirana which is part of the project consortium.

The aim of this conference is to promote and encourage interactions among professionals from practice and research and advancement of investigation of concepts, methods, techniques, tools and issues related to information systems in organizations and the economy in general. The scope of this conference is to bring important results regarding planning, analysis, design, construction, modification, implementation, utilization, evaluation, and management of information systems that use information technology to support and coordinate activities taking a socio-technological perspective.
